Knowaste is a private company dedicated
to the development and implementation of innovative environmental
solutions for the world’s difficult waste issues. Established
in 1989 and operating on an international scale, Knowaste
LLC is the proprietor of patented technologies for the recycling
of absorbent hygiene products, including disposable baby diapers,
incontinence products and disposable bedliners, into sanitized
reusable paper pulp and plastic components (as
our products).
With over a decade of development and testing,
Knowaste has the proven, tested and patented technology that
is making the recycling of absorbent hygiene products as easy
as recycling plastic, glass, aluminum and paper.
Knowaste diaper processor (KDP)
De Knowaste luierverwerker (KDP: Knowaste
diaper processor) is een kleinere variant van de grote Knowaste
fabriek. De fabriek in Arnhem heeft een capaciteit van 70.000
ton, maar de KDP kan worden gebouwd vanaf 4.000 ton.
Het proces van recycling is gelijk aan het
hierboven omschreven volcontinueproces. De KDP werkt batchgewijs
en combineert een aantal stappen. De kwaliteit van de teruggewonnen
grondstoffen is vergelijkbaar.
